On the occasion of the 2nd Mekong River Commission (MRC) Summit held on 2 - 5 April 2014 in Ho Chi Mint City, Vietnam, Save the Mekong Coalition submitted a letter to the prime ministers of Cambodia, Laos, Thailand and Vietnam calling for the immediate halt to construction of the Xayaburi and Don Sahong Dams and the cancellation of all dams on the Mekong mainstream, as well as destructive tributary projects including the Lower Sesan 2 Dam in Cambodia.
