Cumulative Impact Assessment of Alaknanda and Bhagirathi Basins

In response to the Government of Uttarakhand's proposed hydro electric projects on the Bhagirathi and Alaknanda rivers, the Wildlife Institute of India (WII) prepared a cumulative impact assessment to: assess the baseline status of rare, endangered and threatened (RET) species; indentify critically important habitats along existing and planned projects; delineate river stretches for critical conservation of RET aquatic species; and asses key habitat variables for RET's.
