Activists have been working to stop the Ilisu Dam in Turkey, which would flood the 10,000-year-old town of Hasankeyf in the mountains of upper Mesopotamia.

In Brazil, indigenous communities and other people who would be affected by dams are campaigning to stop the Belo Monte Dam on the mighty Xingu River, a tributary of the Amazon.

Come watch the film as part of the Wild & Scenic Film Festival in Nevada City on Saturday, January 11, 2014. International Rivers will be in attendence and speaking about the film and our work to stop destructive big dams in the Amazon and elsewhere.
