Xikrin Response Letter to FUNAI

In response to a letter from FUNAI – the National Indian Foundation of Brazil's Ministry of Justice – dated July 31, 2012, the Xikrin people responded with a letter on August 2 that included the following statement:
“We rightfully claim that the FUNAI respect the recommendations of the Federal Public Ministry as well as the position of the indians to discuss and evaluate this transposition together with all those who use the river, in the villages.”
