Bus Information
If you miss your rendezvous with one of the airport greeters, there is a bus you can catch from Guadalajara to Temacapulín.
The bus ride is in two parts. First you must take a bus from Guadalajara to Tepatitlán. Then you must take a bus from Tepatitlán to Temacapulín. Each leg is about 1 1/2 hours.
These buses depart from the new bus station in Guadalajara, The Central Camionera, located 15 to 30 minutes southeast of downtown. The station has seven terminals connected by a covered walkway. Each terminal houses bus lines, offering first- and second-class service for different destinations.
- Buses to Tepatitlán depart from Terminal 1 or Terminal 5.
- Departures are from 7:00am until 8:00pm, every 30 min to Tepatitlán, Jalisco.
You must transfer at Tepatitlán to get to Temacapulín.
On Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays the only bus from Tepatitlán to Temacapulín departs at 4:45pm.
On Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday and Sunday the bus leaves for Temacapulín at:
- 9:00am
- 3:00pm
- 4:45pm
You will want to plan your bus trip so that you arrive in Tepatitlán with a decent amount of time to catch your connecting bus. If you can not catch the last bus in Tepatitlán on any given day you will probably need to book a hotel in Guadalajara, rather than spend the night in Tepatitlán.
