JOIN THE POWER 4 PEOPLE CAMPAIGN!
Take action to demand clean local energy for all!

After several hundred billion dollars have been spent on development aid for energy projects, 1.3 billion people remain without access to electricity. Meanwhile the World Bank and other international financiers plan to fund a new generation of megadams and fossil fuel projects that would bypass poor communities.

Decentralized solar, wind and micro-hydropower projects are better for expanding energy access to poor communities, have a small environmental footprint and protect the climate. With an international day of action on October 12, 2013, and other activities, the Power 4 People campaign calls on the World Bank and other institutions stop funding dirty energy projects and invest in clean local energy for all.
